Become a Facebook Fan of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana to post a photo of your cluttered room for a chance to win a design consultation with Betty Eastin of Interior Motives. (http://www.InteriorMotivesDesign.com/)

TO SIGN UP:
1) Become a Facebook fan of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana; 2) Post a photo of your cluttered room to our wall with a maximum 200-word caption on why your room deserves the consultation; 3) Encourage your friends to post their cluttered room space.

DESIGN CONSULTATION CONTEST RULES

Who Can Enter

1. Contestants must be a legal resident of one of these southeast Louisiana parishes (Ascension, East Baton Rouge, Jefferson, Livingston, Orleans, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Terrebonne).
2. Employees of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana (“Goodwill”) and members of Goodwill employees’ households are ineligible to win a room makeover consultation but are encouraged to post photos.
3. All entrants for the room makeover consultation must be at least 18 years old.

How to Enter

1. All entries must be an interior room space. Entrants can enter the contest one time only and enter only one room space.
2. To enter, contestants must post a photo of their room with a maximum 200-word caption on why they deserve the makeover consultation to www.facebook.com/goodwill-industries-retail.
3. All entries must be received by Goodwill by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 2010. Goodwill is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winner or other contest information by Sponsor or entrants for any reason whatsoever. Goodwill is also not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the contest or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. All entries become the property of Goodwill and will not be returned. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
4. One winner will be chosen from all entries by a judging committee selected by Goodwill. The winner will be identified based on the overall submission, originality and rationale in needing a design consultation.

The Grand Prize

1. One grand prize winner will be chosen from all eligible entry photos posted on www.facebook.com/goodwillindustriesofsoutheasternlouisiana. The winner will receive a two-hour design consultation with Interior Motives (http://www.InteriorMotivesDesign.com). No changes to this prize will be permitted, and the inability of any winner to accommodate this schedule will result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternative winner.
2. The grand prize winner will be notified within two weeks of the final day of the contest. The winner must complete and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within three days of notification or he/she will be disqualified. If a prize notification letter is returned to Goodwill or their designated agents as undeliverable, the prize will be awarded to an alternative winner. Except where prohibited by law, submission of a contest entry constitutes permission to use winner���s name, hometown, likenesses, and photographs for on-line posting, and/or any advertising and publicity without additional compensation. By entering, contestants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges. Contestants agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless Goodwill, their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize.
3. If the grand prize winner does not timely return the release and affidavit of eligibility, the prize will be awarded to an

Goodwill GOODGUIDES® Back to School Bash Photo Opportunity

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana, Inc. is hosting a Back to School Bash for dozens of individuals enrolled in GOODGUIDES®—a mentoring program that helps disadvantaged youth between the ages of 12 and 17 build career plans and skills and prepare for school completion, post-secondary training and productive work. GOODGUIDES is funded by a U.S. Department of Justice Grant dispersed to 56 independent Goodwill agencies around the country.

Thrift Store Documentarian Lands at Goodwill in New Orleans

All Thrifty States, a photographic essay project, promotes a healthy consumer product cycle that includes saving natural resources, energy and money by purchasing used goods. The project is spearheaded by Jenna Isaacson, a Washington-DC based independent visual journalist and lover of all things thrift. Isaacson has been traveling country since June 18th in a fuel-efficient RV from Cruise America. Isaacson will be at Goodwill Store at 3400 Tulane Avenue today photographically documenting Goodwill stores..
