Thirty-eight year old Alicia Torres has been breaking down barriers since she was a child. The youngest of six children, she’s a two-time winner of the Junior Special Olympics and a star employee at the Kenner Goodwill Retail Store & Donation Center.

Edward Jones, known warmly as “Mr. Moe,” has never let adversity get in the way of living life to the fullest. “Every day is a good day,” says Mr. Moe who knows all the regular customers by name. He joined Goodwill’s Esplanade store and donation center team in 2006.

Before coming to Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana, Inc., 27-year-old Adell Stepter never had a job. Today, he’s one of Goodworks’ most dependable and punctual employees and has missed only one day of work in his eight years on the job. Adell was referred to Goodwill Industries by Louisiana Rehabilitation Services.

Cross dressing males spawned a mini-boon for retail stores of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana, Inc. over the weekend. The spirited fun was all in honor of the legendary and deceased New Orleans sportscaster Buddy Diliberto who vowed to march on Bourbon Street in a dress if the Saints ever made it to the Super Bowl.
