JohnsonAndrew Johnson came to Goodwill Industries after his former employer lost the contract at the Navel Air Base. It’s been 10 years since he joined the team, yet Andrew still arrives at work every day with a smile on his face and a contagious enthusiasm. Nicknamed “Rev,” Andrew is a tractor operator and a lead mentor for Goodworks’ grounds maintenance crew at the Naval Base site, where they are responsible for the upkeep and landscaping of 900 acres.
“Goodwill provided me a job that I love that allows me to be successful in life,” says Andrew. He illustrates that gratitude by leading by example and helping others to succeed on the job.

63 Years of Service in Southeast Louisiana -
As it commemorates Goodwill Industries® Week (May 2 – 8) and 63 years of service, Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana, Inc. (Goodwill) is seeking donations of gently used clothing, house-wares and monetary pledges so it can continue to provide job training programs, employment placement services and other community-based programs for people who need them most.
