Edward Jones

Edward Jones, known warmly as “Mr. Moe,” has never let adversity get in the way of living life to the fullest. “Every day is a good day,” says Mr. Moe who knows all the regular customers by name. He joined Goodwill’s Esplanade store and donation center team in 2006. A few years earlier, he awoke in the hospital with gangrene after a case of double pneumonia left him in a state of unconsciousness for 10 days. His legs had to be amputated and with his family’s support, he valiantly completed extensive physical rehabilitation and was determined to rejoin the workforce. Store manager Kathleen Comellas praises Mr. Moe as a born leader and a great example to others. He is one of Esplanade store’s most valued team members and works the donation drive-thru and electronics department. “Goodwill gave me the opportunity to get back to work. I’m proud of our mission and the work we do here.”
